It's a Beaut, Clark...

I know I said I wouldn't share any more pictures of the playhouse until it is finished...but Josh (my own Clark Griswold) surprised the girls by stringing it with lights to match our house...and it is too cute not to share! "Drumroll please... drumroll..."

Feliz Festivities

We are having a "jolly" good time with our Christmas festivities!

Decking the halls with homemade decorations...(Doesn't she color in the lines so good?)Making snow angels...(It's really cool Instant Snow that Kinsey brought to our house...pun intended :)Riding our very own Polar Express in our pajamas, of course...All aboard! Watching the Comanche Lighted Christmas Parade...Sweet cousins...all on the Nice list!(This is what Brenna thought about the parade and cold wind.)It definitely ranks up there with the Macy's Day Parade :)(The kids on their own parade float back at the house.)Then we visited the Christmas Sweet Shop...aka Kinsey's Christmas Party! We made cookies and cute crafts!
(Someone really really liked the cookies...)
Love this special holiday with these little sweeties...
Hope you're having a merry time, too!

Hey Mom! Look at Me!

D: I'm not so little anymore, Mama. I can color with the big girls!

K: See, Mommy...I like to carry as many toys in my arms as I can when we are playing over here...even when I'm riding a horse :)

C: I can build big towers, and nobody better even think about knocking them over!

C: We painted a firetruck just like Daddy does!

D: Look how they barricaded me from the firetruck painting! Can you believe they did this?

A & K: We are twins...and good friends!

B: I know I am not supposed to be touching this, but it looks so fun...
A: Mom! Brenna's touching the buttons!

C: I got to stick things in this old pumpkin...and use a hammer! I concentrated really hard!

A: We made lots of holes in the pumpkin and were happy for hours doing this! Why didn't you think of this before now, Mom!
Audrey: Oh, my, Danica Chick!

A: I have glasses like you, Mom!

C & A: I see you! We're hunting bears and watching for deer.

D: I'm coloring again, Mama...and growing so fast!

B: Mama, Audrey got your camera!

C & A: We are a good team, a couple crazy fun kids!

D: I like to climb in these baby things and then I can't get out. Amber says it is a good restraint system!
Amber: They've now told all our secrets :)

My Little Somebodies

I have a lot of little somebodies in my house who do lots of little somebody things...

1 little somebody snuck away with a tube of glitter glue and "decorated" a dining room chair today. This was the same culprit who glue-sticked a toy car to its sticky demise.

Another little somebody opened a tube of Desitin and smeared/ate half of it...then poured out half a gallon of water in the pantry. (How did she get these things without me seeing, you ask? I ask myself the same question everyday :)

1 little somebody thinks she should pull up on everything in sight...and got three bruises in the exact same spot on her forehead yesterday.

I made snowglobes with my little somebodies this week...but sorry no pictures because two globes did not survive the shaking. On the upside, my floor is very glittery/snowy.

3 little somebodies think it is hilarious to strip off their shirts and dance "like jaybirds"...and I agree it's pretty funny...especially when one has Dancing with the Stars moves!
These same somebodies love to try on Audrey's shoes, ALL of Audrey's shoes, and wear them through the house and use baby wipes, lots of baby wipes, to "clean".

Yes, these little people know how to make messes and be crazy. It looks as if a whole army of little somebodies goes through my house every day.

But these LITTLE kids love in a BIG way. They adore each other in spite of bumped heads or taken toys, and they love me even when I fuss about crumbs or crying.

When they are big somebodies someday, I want to remember the way the littlest somebodies "hug" by touching heads together...or how they all excitedly run and hug each other after each friend wakes up...or how they laugh at each other's funny tricks...or tickle the little ones to get a smile. They cheer each other on and cheer each other up, forgive and forget, and see no flaws in their friends.

We big somebodies probably have a lot to learn from these little somebodies.

Fun with the Fam

Our times with family are always fun...and we've had lots lately!

The girls and I had a Girls Movie Night while Josh was hunting! We watched Lady & the Tramp. Audrey thought it was so fun to lay on a pallet and watch TV so long :) (Don't ask me why Brenna has a pacifier. She has never taken one, and I don't know how this one surfaced.)Then we also went to the Abilene Zoo with Nana and Layton and Bobby and Buzz!I think they enjoyed pushing each other in Brenna's stroller more than seeing the animals. For Thanksgiving, we got to see some cousins we hadn't seen in exactly one year...since last Thanksgiving! Many of them met Brenna for the first time...and all of the little ones weren't so little anymore! The girls loved playing with "Baby Reagan" who is not a "baby" anymore...just a little sweetie!
I just wish we lived closer!
How Josh spent his afternoon there...she's not great at steering yet.

Most of the week, we were in Krum at Mimi and Pop's house, soaking up all the spoiling and good eating to be had there :)
Brenna decided she would start standing alone and trying a wobbly step here and there with Pop's help.

We saw more cousins here that we don't see much either...and they got their share of Play-doh time!

Nana Martha finally had all of her grandkids and great-grandbabies together at the same time!
And all of this made for more fun family times for the record book!
