Paddy's Parade

Don't let anything rain on your parade...except maybe rain.

That's just what it did at the St. Patricks Day parade in Dublin in which Audrey rode a float with her dance company, Auntie Em's. We did site a leprechaun...

She did enjoy it despite the sogginess. As always, she is the smily silver lining in the dreary rain clouds!

PreK Purpose

My school year has been going great. I love my co-teacher Kylie! We work really well together and have lots of fun.

For example...I may or may not have dressed as a mouse for the book fair :) anything for those babies!
They made the best little projects for open house, all centered around community helpers and what they want to be when they grow up. These are the classes of 2029 and 2030!
My goal is to make learning fun and meaningful for these kids. They will have plenty of years of serious schoolwork. Another example...bring quilts to school for letter Q and then build a quilt fort the length of the room!
We are still absolutely in love with our new school. I cannot express this enough!
I am thankful to have a job where I work with amazing people in a wonderful place for a very important purpose--serving precious kids. (Even if that makes me a crazy, silly prek teacher!)

Bounce for Layton

Time for another party...Layton's turn! We celebrated his 8 years at a fun bounce place in Breckenridge!

Even Lander loved the equipment, especially the foam pit!

We love our cousin Layton!
Happy birthday, buddy!

Indian Creek

We have a new place to call our own, a place we will some day call home. It's a wonderful two acre plot in Indian Creek, our favorite neighborhood in town. We will begin the building process in the near-future. Until then, we like to go to our spot and picnic, run around, explore, dream...
It even has a bamboo forest!

The Lord kept closing other doors because He was waiting to open this one for us.
It will be exciting to go through the building process all together. Here are the girls helping stake out the measurements for the house.

May the very foundation we lay for our home and family be on Christ alone!
This tree was blossoming one day as we picnicked underneath. To me, it was symbolic of our blessings as I smelled the sweet fragrance of the flowers.

We are thankful for this place...but you know, home is anywhere these guys are!

Magnolia

We are terrible at selfies but great at being together...
Josh and I stole away to spend time together and check out the current mecca of home design...Magnolia Market & the Silos...HGTVs Fixer Upper...Chip and Joanna Gaines...WacoTX. I got a glass cake stand! We also did some shopping and ran by their new bed and breakfast.
It was all lovely...especially the Josh part.

BBall

Audrey had an outstanding basketball season. She loved her coaches and teammates and gained so much confidence this year.
By the end of the season, she was playing tougher defense and bringing the ball down as point guard!
She has opted out of softball, so we have family plans of hitting the gym for some skill building and pickup games :)
