Easter at Granny's

A favorite holiday tradition: Easter at Granny's!

One very important part of this always encompasses Awpa and the releasing of the egg hunters by age:
Lander (age 1)
Cade (20 months)
Noah (missing Everett!) (both almost 2)

Cam (age 3)
Payslei (age 4)
Blake (age 6)
Brenna (age 6)
Kyrstin (age 7)
Corbin (age 7)
Layton (age 8)
Audrey (age 8)
Kelton (age 11-12)

I love having our Nanny and Granny at the same holiday celebration!

It is so special carrying on family traditions with the next generation at the ranch.

Easter Traditions

Coloring eggs by night...
Resurrection Rolls
Crescent rolls=burial cloths & tomb
Marshmallow=Jesus
Cinnamon and sugar=perfume and spices to preserve the body
--Close the tomb and put in the oven for "3 days"

He is not here!  (but the tomb is pretty yummy;)

He is Risen!

We shared a beautiful Easter Sunday with our church family including all these incredible friends in our church. I loved seeing them all together in the same room.

I also loved getting to teach them an Easter lesson about our Risen King! They were enthralled as we opened each egg to see the symbols of the Easter story: bread for the Last Supper, nails for the cross, strips of cloth for burial, a rock for the large stone, an empty egg for the empty tomb, and candy to celebrate the sweetness of life with Christ who rose from the grave.
Then we hunted eggs in the youth building!

Our wonderful high school friends Libby and Angie
The Lord is Risen indeed!
