Brand New

The day finally arrived! We had been waiting and longing for this day for our big girl. Second grade finally got to move into the brand new elementary school!

This was an extremely welcome day because the old building was filled with mold and allergens that were making her sick. Audrey fought bad ear infections since August and constant congestion.

I cried more this morning than on the first day of school. I was so proud for her and so blessed seeing such a beautiful clean environment. I can't wait for Brenna and I to join her in one month!

Kindergarten Pumpkin/Turkey/Indian Girl

Brenna has had a fun fall in Kindergarten, including a Pumpkin Patch field trip, Halloween activities in class, and a couple of Thanksgiving feasts!

"Chicka chicka boom boom, there's no turkey in this room!" Turkey Disguise...shhh!

"Friends care. Friends share. We will be friends everywhere!" (This was a slightly better anthem to recite at the feast than her rendition of "Pow Wow, we're the men of the old dead cow"? Lost in translation??)

So much to be thankful for...

A Beautiful Work

The Lord used the talents of about 25 servants at the beginning of November to do an incredible work for Him. Our Daddy was one of these willing workers.

In only four days, this group built a whole house for a family who lost their home in the floods at Wimberley. They worked through rain and mud themselves to create a home for a young family who was so grateful. The youngest girl brought tears when she cheered out her new window, "It is beautiful!"

We are so proud of our daddy who gives of his time, energy, and talents so wholeheartedly for God's glory.

Halloween 2015

 I loved our costumes once again this year. Audrey chose to be a beautiful ballerina with real ballerina clothes. Brenna "envisioned" a peacock we handcrafted. And Layton and Lander were an adorable pair as firefighter and firedog.

 

 

 

 We enjoyed trick-or-treating and playing games in Cisco this year.

 Ballerinas play in mud, too, right? I'd say that's the perfect mix of girl right there...

 Brenna was stuffed with candy! I may have eaten a piece or two or three myself ;)
