In Love...Again

In 12 short weeks, I have fallen head-over-heels for yet another baby girl:

I love how you wrinkle your nose when you smile.

I love how you are already trying to laugh at how silly we are.

I love how you light up when your sister comes near.

I love how you watch me get ready in the mornings.

I love how you don't like to be left by yourself.

I love how your tummy is feeling so much better.

I love how you so easily take your medicine.

I love how you kick so happily on your changing table.

I love how you make gooing sounds back and forth with me.

I love how you look like Audrey but have your own distinct look.

I love how you already have fat little cheeks and have gained double that of the average child.

I love how your feet are long and skinny.

I love how you want to be held so you can see everything around you.

I love how your name fits you so beautifully.

I love how you sleep 6-7 hours straight at night.

I love how your hair swirls in back.

I love how you want to be cuddled...all day :)

I love how you look great in Audrey's old clothes and your new ones, too.
I love how you can get so excited that it makes you gasp.
I love how you are getting a little better about being in the carseat.
I love how you have accepted a little formula now and then to help me catch up.
I love how you still recognize me when I'm looking my worst.
I just love everything about you, Brenna Beth.

April 1

April 1 will never be a silly day of "fooling" for me. It will forever be the day my grandpa passed away: http://herestheamberdeal.blogspot.com/2009/04/bye-pa.html

Today marks the first anniversary of his death, and I especially want to remember my Granny today because I know it is tough reflecting back on his fight with cancer.

I have been waiting to show this picture of his headstone. As you can see, it is a huge rock and looks so unique at the cemetery. It is so him and looks like it came straight off the ranch. And a neat sidenote...you can see the headstone labeled Green in front of Pa's stone in the second picture. That is where my great-grandparents rest.

It hasn't been the same without you around here, Pa.
