Easter Sunday

We enjoyed a wonderful Easter celebration with our church family on Easter Sunday this year.

 The kids hunted eggs in the library because of weather :)

 I cannot tell you how special this group of kids is to me!

 Then, we drove over to Granny's to celebrate with family.

 This Easter tradition has continued for years and years...my dad lines all of the kids up from youngest to oldest and releases them to find eggs. He usually traps the big ones for a while to cause an uproar, all in Easter family fun :)

So here comes Lander and Cade...

 ...and the biggest kids Kyrstin, Corbin, Layton, Audrey, & Kelton.

 Everett's first Easter...so happy they were "home"!

 Then a hilarious game of cute boys in boots playing basketball, mostly vs. a tree!

We celebrate a joyful life BECAUSE HE LIVES!

Glorious Easter

Easter is so wonderful. I hate that the bunny and eggs distract from the true celebration of Easter, but I love linking all the fun back to Him and the Life that comes from Him!

Even at public school, He was glorified this Easter as kids talked about the true meaning of the holiday! And as we ate yummy treats in the gorgeous spring weather...

Back at home, we celebrated our Good Friday holiday with Resurrection Rolls, an annual favorite.

 He is not here. He has risen!

 Another annual tradition...the McKeehan/Carroll Egg Hunt. We have attended since the very first one when Audrey was only 1!

 Mrs. McKeehan is always a special part of this tradition. She takes the kids to the cross and tells the Easter story, crying through it every year!

 Glad these chicks weren't the party favors this year!

Daddy's Girls...and a Girls' Daddy

We had two very excited little girls last week as their Daddy escorted them to the Daddy/Daughter Dance.

 I felt a bit like Cinderella as I watched them leave while I folded laundry. But I am forever thankful for the daddy and husband the Lord planned for us in Josh. The girls are growing up with the perfect Earthly example of what their future husband and children's father should be like...a man after God's own heart, a true servant to his family and others, hardworking, strong and firm yet loving and gentle, and just pure-d fun. Plus he had a bad case of poison oak under that handsome shirt :(

 Aunt Bobby made the girls feel extra special with fancy hairstyles! They were ready to dance the night away.
