So we bought a fixer upper! Just call us Chip and Joanna because we dove straight in to a great project (all credit to Josh who is brave enough and talented enough to accomplish this!)
First off was Demo Day!
Pop chain-sawed the jungle down that engulfed the house on all sides. Brenna was a worker dragging limbs to the growing pile.
Josh was excited to get this wall out and open up the living room and kitchen.
Then the floor came out...
Once again, Pop, Mimi, and Brenna to the rescue.
Then Brenna took a swing at the brick planter in the living room. (Audrey is nowhere to be seen because she was with friends!)
Did I mention that we every single surface was coming out or being painted?
Another vintage jewel...that's a squirrel carcass.
Here's the outside of the house once the overgrowth was cut out.
And the piles of debris after Demo Day 1...
Audrey got her chance at the bricks,
...while I beat at the pink tiles in the bathrooms.
After one weekend of tearing out, we basically had a blank canvas to work on for the next few months. Jessie was so sweet to bring our first housewarming gift: gluten free brownies--"Welcome to your new home! (kind of)"
More fixer upper pics coming soon....and eventually the befores and afters!
