We all scream for ice cream!

Brenna Beffy's A Year and a Halfy

Our Brenna Beffy, as Audrey calls her... ...she's 18 months old now! (But more closely resembles 2-and-a-half in her size and demeanor! :) She is full of spunk and will talk your leg off. Here's a few new things she is saying:

"Ah me!" Look at me! She attempts every trick that big sister does...even some that aren't always the safest. Here's a few things she tells you she is doing or wants to do: "I das (dance), I bump (jump), I eat (she does this the best), es go (let's go), sa si (outside), es hot (it's hot--we hear this alot right now)"

"Uh ________?"--Where's (insert-name)...she asks over and over and over and over for people, animals, things.

"Peash bipe"--Peach bite (She thinks the hamster bites her because she witnessed Audrey getting nipped at.) She adores those hamsters, though, and any other animal she sees. Here she is holding my Mom's dog Mini--"Mi-me":

Things she requests to eat/drink: "I mulk (milk), I duice (juice), I bips (chips/cheetos), I bapes (grapes), I teese (cheese), I dip (dip in syrup, ketchup, gravy, hot sauce)" And she will still eat anything you put in front of her...it is amazing what she can put away.

Facial features she loves pointing to on your face (and not always gently): "nose, eyes, mou, tee, ees". She can help recite several books such as "Toes, Ears, & Nose" and "Goodnight Moon," among many many others that we read over and over. We have another girl that loves TV. She yells, "Yay" through the house when I tell them they can watch a show. She will sing and "count" along with "Jake and the Neverland Pirates" and sings the theme song to "Bubble Guppies" pretty well. She answers every question the characters ask and repeats exactly what they tell her to. Other songs she sings well are "Appy do do" (Happy Birthday to You) and every "me" in "Jesus Love Me".People comment all the time about how happy Brenna is. She really has a very fun, happy, easygoing demeanor, and she lights up our world. I am a little attached...

Audrey is someone else who adores her. Brenna is two steps behind her sister all day. They hug each other first before anyone else when they wake up and make sure they know where the other is at all times. Brenna is an echo of everything Audrey does or says. I hope they are always the best of friends :)
And can you believe it...Brenna has gone in the potty four times on just random times that we set her on the seat. The very first time she ever sat down to try, she did it! (This has only happened at the grandparent's houses, though :)

Right now, she is a speckled 18-month-old. She has a case of hives from an unknown allergy. Thankfully, it does not seem to bother her at all, though! She is still smiling :) Oh, we are so proud of this girl and love her so much...Happy Half Birthday, Benna!

Livin' It Up 6: Grapevine Aquarium & Rainforest Cafe

Grapevine Mills Mall has a great new feature...a beautiful aquarium. You know, do a little shopping, view a few fish...Well, we were short on the shopping, but we had such a great time in the aquarium that we went through it twice!Brenna refused to hold my hand or Mimi's. She was adamant about holding hands with Audrey through the whole tour, and Audrey was sweet to take hold and point new things out to her.Peering into the sting ray tank from above... ...and below. Here's the Shark Walk,

...and crab interaction tank. One of the cutest fish there :)Brenna came home with her very own seahorse whom she named "Cecil" (or at least this is how she says seahorse :)We also found the Rainforest Cafe in the Mall and enjoyed a meal with monkeys in the jungle!

Thanks for the great time, Mimi!

Livin' It Up 5: Ft. Worth Museum

We stayed in Krum for a few days last week while Daddy was away for work. We did lots of fun things with Mimi and Pop. And the Ft. Worth Museum was one of them:

The girls loved seeing and digging up dinosaur bones...and don't be fooled by the pictures--it was very crowded.Audrey even found a dinosaur to dance with :)Then there was more dancing and exploring and learning throughout the rest of the museum:

As you can see, it is all very interactive and kid-friendly, and even includes a small pretend grocery store and hospital.

This is definitely a must-see for families...just maybe not during the summer hours if you can...
