Sing at the Top of Your Lungs

Noone in our family can really carry a tune...but we give it all we got and sing at the top of our lungs :)

The girls love "Princess and the Popstar" right now, so this is what echoes through our walls every day...and I think it's fitting:

Lemonade Life Lessons

When life gives you lemons (or at least a pink lemonade mix), set up a lemonade stand!

For our first attempt at entrepreneurship, we decided it's a good idea to taste-test our product...but not so much to drink 75% of it.

 We also learned how much bees enjoy sugary Kool-Aid, enjoyed the new feeling of Spring in the air, and relived the nostalgic summer smell of sunscreen...

 Another great lesson: the difference between cents and dollars....and the value of grandparents stopping by with their money :)

 We actually caught a few random "customers" (their newest daily vocabulary word for any/all pedestrians walking down our street), and we offered them free lemonade with the good news that Jesus loves them!

 The drinks were a little warm and we were a little sticky by the end of the afternoon, but I'd say our new business venture was quite a success all around!

Barnyard Bash

What's the buzz around the barnyard?

This farm boy is 5!

Yep, everyone in the barnyard gathered in their finest...

...to give out birthday hugs...

...to kick up their heels...

...to hang out with good company...

...and to celebrate with big happy smiles...

...the boy we love so much!

Baa! Quack! Moo! Neigh! We love you, Layton! Happy Birthday!

The mountains are calling...

...and I must go.

We spent our Spring Break in the new Deal family "mountain house," and it was a great start to many more memories to be made there.

Our first two days were full of snow-fun...

Then, we hit the slopes of Wolf Creek!

 Brenna Baby gave it her all, but she has decided to wait until she is 5 to try to ski again :)

Cold snow, crowded ski areas, hard boots, and puffy clothes are just not ideal conditions for a 3-year-old.

 Audrey took to skiing like a natural at 5 years old this year. It was so fun watching her master a new skill and skiing right along beside her.

She even showed off her skills at the house one day!

 Check out this sledding daredevil...and cute to boot :)

As the week went on, the snow melted away, and we watched the transformation to Spring.

 Each day was breathtaking in its own way from the snow to the smiles.

 So when the mountains call again, look out because we will go!
