Life is one big party...

We have lots of family birthdays in the spring, so we partied hardy last weekend!
Saturday was Kyrstin's Ninja Turtle party.

It was boy turtles against girl turtles in this tug-o-war game. The girls managed to outmuscle (and outnumber) these buff dudes.

Meanwhile, Noah was getting a little trim. It's one big family affair at each birthday and holiday.
Jeremy is home from Tech--pound him with balloons!

Then, Sunday was Layton's Call of Duty 7th Birthday Party! So we got camo-ed up with our Nerfs ready for war.

This guy had his birthday a few days ago, too ;)
There was more tug-o-war...
and an obstacle course!

It was a super fun party....and the kids answered their call of duty: celebrate sweet birthday cousins!

Spring Break Picture Finale

Yes, believe it or not...I found more Spring Break pictures that I love.

Family Skiing:

Brenna's "Energy Boost" Breaks
The fast skiiers...
Our second trip to the wildlife park...the girls are standing by the antler sheds of the elk behind them.

Wild mountain turkeys...and the birds were nice too ;)
And a stop at Echo Canyon Amphitheater on our way out.
I have to stop looking at these pictures so I won't long to go back already!

Spring Break Snow Fun

Then any time at the mountain house is always special--with the ones we lub...

In the beauty of God's creation...

 She named him "Carl."
These are the neighbors, Gus and Puddin'.
 Exploring and snow angels...
 Snowballs...
 Snow slides...

 Snow dog...
 Snow fun...

Spring Break Skiing

Hello Wolf Creek. Fancy meeting you again...
We had some excited little girls up bright and early before the lifts even opened. It was the most beautiful 12 degrees I have ever imagined.
Brenna skiing at 5: She was a little timid at first and would get frustrated and tire easily...

But after remembering the basics--hold the teddy bear in front of her and make a pizza/candy corn with yours skis--she was handling the mountain all on her own!
Audrey skiing at 7: She knows no fear. The skills came back to her very quickly and she wanted to head straight down the mountain at fast speeds with Daddy--and definitely didn't want to wait on Mama and Brenna.
Josh skiing: He could be a professional. And he looks so great doing it. Period.

Me skiing: I like going with Brenna because she takes very frequent candy breaks.
Pop skiing: He is a very good buffer for the side of the trails where they could ski off, and he is very good at picking up fallen little girls and gathering up tossed skis! He likes granddaughter breaks, too :)

At the end of the morning, it's back home to a warm house and Mimi's home cooking!

Until we meet again next year, Wolf Creek...
