School is a whole bunch of things to us...
It is friends and letter show n tell.
It is reading books and doing funny extension activities like balancing apples on our heads!
It is lots of recess time on our awesome playground...
It is learning how to do basic things like gluing and cutting..."Dot Dot, Not a Lot"!
It is celebrating successes such as getting 16 three and four year olds to line up, sit down, not talk, not touch, etc, etc.
It is holding the attention of little minds with a great book!
It is getting to see my girls every day both on the same hallway being happy with their class and teachers. (Here's Audrey on her field trip to a Sept. 11 memorial service.)
It is getting to explore cool places like the library and PE and music and computer.
It is the coveted iPad time at the end of each day!
It is "Brenna be nimble, Brenna be quick, Brenna jump over the candlestick!" (Lots of movement activities mixed with fine motor pre-writing practice time)
It is offering meaningful, purposeful, fun activities all over the room all day long to keep the kids learning when they don't even know they are!
It is seeing wonderful growth in our town allowing for the groundbreaking of a new school that we will attend next fall!
It is creativity and curiosity and exploration and following directions all at the same time.
It is celebrating the uniqueness and special-ness of each child!
It is exciting new experiences and opportunities to learn like using a recipe to bake cookies for letter C!
It is cute cute cute kids whom I love very much!
It is pride in our girls that makes our hearts feel like they could burst.
It is 4 weeks of school down and many more exciting ones to go!
