VBS Submerged!

We enjoyed another fantastic vbs this summer!

I taught a very large energetic class of prek kids...29 to be exact! Check out our octopus and submarine.

After un-decorating, we spent some time with long-lost friends, the Helgrens!

It was a blessed week as always. And I may or may not have signed myself and my friends up to be the directors next year :/

Hard to Leave

We love to go...

...but it's hard to leave!

Pagosa Outing

Since the virus was still an unwelcome guest in the house, the girls and I took an outing around town on the last day.

We ate lunch and played putt-putt. Brenna stood on every boulder.

We also scoped out a couple of bakeries trying to find cinnamon rolls. We got cookies at "2 Chicks & a Hippie" and sat down with cakes at Pagosa Baking Company.

An outing with my girls with beautiful weather and sweets...HEAVEN! (But we did feel sorry for the sickies back at the house, promise :(

Mountain-side Park

We found a great (easy) place to ride bikes in town...Yamaguchi Park.

I sat here watching the river to the left and cute riders to the right.

Then we dumped the bikes to play in the river.

We love this easy spot to access in town a few minutes from the house!

Deck Inspiration

In our downtime at the mountain house, we were artists and bookworms!

I tried my hand at Bible art and hand lettering verses, which I now love!

We were fueled with watermelon and smores!

Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge

Pulling out of the Durango Station

The trip is 3.5 hours long as the train winds through mountain passes.

 The sites and views are incredible along the way.

 The girls did very well on the journey. They liked walking from car to car to visit the concession car. It was an extremely authentic experience!

 Pulling into Silverton...we rode a bus back for a quicker trip.

 This sign was too cute, considering how long it takes to ride up there!

 We are enchanted by this old mining town and historic train that keeps it alive!
