So proud of my man...
It's Community Rehab week once again in Comanche, Texas, which means Josh is up before the sun preparing his tools and a group of high school and junior high kids to finish construction on a house in great need of repair. This year, his crew has a doozy of a house. It belongs to a very nice elderly widow who can hardly move around, and they are replacing all of the siding as well as 13 windows, some rotted from their frames. He also mentioned other complicated construction things they are doing that I am not capable of explaining...but believe me, he is more than capable of completing! Josh is truly in his element this week, exhibiting his spiritual gifts at their finest in projects such as this. And I think the enemy worries about this because it never fails that during Rehab week, he uses something to try to knock Josh down. In the past, it has been two years of sickness, extreme heat, and even a silly yard code ticket. This year it is this: half of our tree--a 1,000 pound branch--laying across the yard.
But he still takes it all in stride, not so easily blown over by the wind, a true man of faith:
"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers...
For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous."
Psalm 1
Something else he is exceptional at: daddying and husbanding :)
Happy early Father's Day! We love you and are so proud of you!

Oh my gosh, your poor tree! And yes, you do have a good man (so do I, it's great being married to a great one!)
