When Brenna sets her mind on something, there's no backing down. She is strong and determined, an important trait to have, I'd say (even if our hard-heads butt together sometimes!) She is not a follower. She loves doing things with her sister but is also quite content being still and alone.
She is extremely loveable and cuddly. She is a homebody that would be happy curled up with a book all day. She adores stuffed animals and real animals and is still obsessed with tv and books.
Speaking of reading...the girl is phenomenal. Her book app reports that she reads about 60 books a week, rating each one as she goes. She reads something once and remembers it forever, recalling facts for us whenever the conversation needs them. She is receiving extended reading services to meet her needs that Kindergarten does not reach...talk about proud parents and extremely excited about what The Lord has in store for that brain. But we are most thankful and proud that she has a very caring heart. All of her peers love her and she treats them all the same, as important friends. Her teachers also adore her.
Brenna is as witty as they come. She says and does the funniest things. In the picture above, she said she is reaching in Mrs. Stinsons boot to grab the things that she stores in there. She can beat Daddy in staring contests 50% of the time. In the movie The Good Dinosaur, she sobbed loudly and uncontrollably when the friends parted.
She loves her bed and takes a while to wake up in the mornings. And yes, she typically wears a sleeping mask all night. She is quite often the definition of "hangry" but the rest of her day, she is the picture of joy.
I don't know what I would do without her.
