On Christmas Eve morn, we gave the girls their three gifts and Christmas lesson. We start by reading the Christmas story, specifically about the gifts the wise men brought to baby Jesus. The first gift is like the gold--something very valuable/priceless to honor them. They discovered new Bibles with their names imprinted on the front. They immediately flipped through them, showing the love they have for God's Word. Then without prompting, they began re-reading the Christmas story in-sync. I filmed it all. It was amazing. They are amazing.
Then gift #2 is like the frankincense--something for their pleasure/fun that they will enjoy. It was an Osmo interactive iPad device. No pictures of that, but serious fun-ness.
Gift #3 is like the myhhr--something they will need. They opened clothes and books! Brenna finished her books on that same day.
And Audrey was going to need new earrings since she is finally getting her ears pierced. She said she was speechless :)
We then spent a fun time playing with their new basketball goal from Mimi and Pop in our new FLAT driveway!
I love our Christmas tradition and pray that it keeps the true meaning and celebration of Christmas alive in their hearts forever.
