Audrey is a 2nd Grader...

We are well into summer now, but I have to share how our school year ended...

Our big 1st grader has now grown into a 2nd grader. She keeps moving on up quicker and quicker it seems. She is part of a great class of kids.

Here's our shortie with her 1st grade teacher Mrs. Christian and classmates.

At the Awards Program, only a select-few students receive a certificate. We had already made a teachable-moment out of this in case she was not selected for an award...making sure she knew we are so proud with or without a piece of paper. Well, she did receive the Rockin' Reader award for her class! I thought this was very fitting for her considering how well she is reading now.

We were also very excited to hear that she got the Sweet Tarts award in her classroom for always being a sweet friend. That is especially something to brag about!

This girl is learning and growing so much each year in so many different ways. From the very beginning, she has also helped us learn and stretch and grow as parents, and that continues to be the case even as we move into 2nd grade. So very proud and thankful for you, Audrey Lynn!
